Austin Dam was a dam within the Austin, Pennsylvania space that served the Bayless Pulp and Paper Mill. A failure of the dam on September 30, 1911 induced vital destruction and lack of life within the valley under. The dam was rebuilt, however the brand new dam failed in 1942. The dam was not changed after the second failure. In 1994 the Austin Dam Memorial Park Affiliation was fashioned and so they since have labored diligently to protect the dam stays.
